| About: |
| General Practice South (formerly the Southern Tasmanian Division of General Practice) was one of the first ten demonstration Divisions established by the Commonwealth Government in 1992. It covers the 62-telephone region in Tasmania and represents general practices from Dover in the South to Oatlands in the Southern Midlands.
The key purpose of General Practice South is to emprove health outcomes through quality general practice. This is achieved by providing a range of services that support both the GP clinician and their practice. These services include the development and provision of practical and relevant education and resources, and a whole-of-practice approach to system improvement and efficiency.
General Practice South's programs aim to continually improve the quality, productivity and sustainability of general practice. Services have a strong focus on information management beyond information technology, whole of practice approaches to population health and GP engagement. |
