| Servicing a socially and culturally diverse community the Logan Area Division of General Practice is faced with addressing primary health care needs in an ever challenging and changing environment. Since LADGP's inception in 1993, it has developed strong foundations in the areas of Cardiac Rehabilitation, Mental Health and Community Networking.
This networking has seen significant recent extensions in the form of working linkages to the Indigenous and NESB communities in the region. These linkages have resulted in recognition of the effectiveness of the networks at the State level.
LADGP is focussed on supporting quality general practice both at a practice level and wider health system level. This has led to an ability to influence the health status of the community.
Stakeholders include General Practitioners, Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing, the Logan community, Logan-Beaudesert Health Services District, Logan-Beaudesert Mental Health Service, South Brisbane indigenous community and services, South Brisbane multicultural community and services (NESB), Queensland Health and other allied health service providers. |
