| The SE NSW Division of General Practice was incorporated on 24 October 1994 and the Division office is located in Moruya. In the ten years that the Division has been in operation it has undertaken a wide range of activities. The Division has aimed to improve health outcomes for patients by encouraging GPs to work together and link with other health professionals and the community to improve the quality of health care at the local level.
Activities undertaken over the past ten years have included Drug and Alcohol Service, Asthma Education, Suicide Prevention, Aboriginal Otitis Media and Aboriginal Diabetes Awareness and Prevention Programs, Men's Health, Chronic Pain Management, Diabetes Educator Program, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Integration of Diabetes Program and Consumer Liaison. In more recent years the Division has focused on a whole of practice approach and developed comprehensive workforce support strategies, practice management support, IM/IT support, quality education & training, chronic diseases support, population health strategies, general practice integration strategies and general practice advocacy.
The Division covers an area of 52,214 square kilometres of South East New South Wales. It surrounds the ACT and is 350 kilometres long and 259 kilometres wide. The Division extends from Batemans Bay on the south coast to the Victorian border; it then runs inland thru the Snowy Mountains taking in Cooma and Jindabyne, out west to Yass and north to Young and includes the towns of Goulburn and Queanbeyan. It is a minimum of a three hour drive to the furthermost points in the region. The South East NSW Division of General Practice is bordered by the Divisions of Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands to the north, East Gippsland to the south, Riverina to the west and the ACT Division in the centre.
The region is wholly rural with some remote areas and includes the two regional centres of Goulburn and Queanbeyan. There are 16 local government areas which the Division has divided into seven networks:

- Queanbeyan and District
