About:
The South Eastern Sydney Division of General Practice (SESDGP) was formally inaugurated at a meeting of 105 local GPs, held on May 12, 1993, at which a Management Committee was elected. Federal funding commenced in September 1993 and a GP Director was appointed in November 1993.

The Division was originally incorporated under the Association Incorporation Act 1984 on December 6, 1993. At the EGM on 24 September 2001, members passed two resolutions: to incorporate the Division to a Company under the Corporations Act 2001 and to adopt the new Constitution.

This reflects increased complexity and scope of the Division's activities increase in membership, as well as an increased level of overall funding (OBF and program specific grants and independent source of funds).
