The Australian Healthcare Association (previously the Australian Hospital Association) is the national industry body for publicly funded hospitals and healthcare organisations, including aged and extended care, primary and community health.  AHA has been a major contributor to Australia's health policy for over 50 years.

AHA's members include the governing bodies of Area and District Health Services, Regional Health Authorities, Community Health Services and Hospitals as well as a number of associate and individual members. AHA has affiliated state associations and branches and its governing board is comprised of CEOs and Board Chairs and Directors.

AHA provides high-level advocacy and representation for its members as well as offering comprehensive information and support services.  AHA publishes the Australian Health Review (AHR), Australia's principal peer reviewed journal covering health services policy, health economics, program development, services management and evaluation, which is a well-regarded forum for extensive discussion of ideas and research results.  AHA also publishes a newsletter for the industry called Healthcare Brief.  This focuses on current issues, and new policy and program initiatives.  AHA convenes the renowned Annual Congress covering a broad range of health sector issues as well as other seminars and workshops on specific issues.
