On 1 October 2004 The National Resource Centre for Consumer Participation in Health closed. Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing funding ended on 30 June 2004 and they were unsuccessful in securing new sponsors.

The website however, will continue to be maintained for an indefinite period.

This allows you access to an excellent library of online publications with "most" documents still available for download while the site remains active.

South Australian Community Health Research Unit
Funded by the Department of Human Services South Australia and other sources for projects, consultancies, conferences and workshops, SACHRU is located with the Department of Public Health, Flinders University of South Australia, and collaborates with them on joint projects and workforce training and development. SACHRU assists primary health care workers to undertake quality research and evaluation and conducting research to improve the effectiveness of primary health care.

Health Issues Centre
Health Issues Centre is a non-government, health policy/research centre which recommends improvements to the health system from the perspective of consumers. Its overall aim is to help create a more equitable health care system which is more responsive to users, particularly those who are disadvantaged by current arrangements. The Centre is self funding and accepts consultancies consistent with these aims.

Talking Quality
Website contents were produced in the United States by a group of researchers with expertise in quality reporting. The purpose of Talking Quality is to offer advice and suggest approaches to overcoming the challenge of developing and distributing information that people can understand and use.
