1. The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has approved the use of Panvax (multi-dose vials) for people aged 6 months and above. 2. Practices may now start vaccinating children aged 6 months and above with Panvax (MDV). 3. The TGA has also approved the use of Panvax Junior (pre-filled syringe) for children aged 6 months to less than 3 years. 4. Distribution of Panvax Junior is expected to commence shortly. 5. While two doses of vaccine are recommended for children under 10 years of age, one dose may provide a good protective boost against pandemic influenza.
